About the Recipe
First, get your favourite drink to keep yourself hydrated, it’s Christmas, Chef!
This is the kind of drink you mix when the table is full, the laughs are loud, and someone puts on Michael Bublé ironically (but we all secretly love it).
It’s quick, it’s festive, it’s fresh, your new signature long-lunch companion.

Ingredients
1 cup chilled white grape juice (or apple juice)
1 cup chilled sparkling water (or non-alc sparkling wine)
Juice of 1 lemon
1 tsp honey or simple syrup (optional, for sweetness)
A handful of fresh mint
A handful of pomegranate seeds
Ice
Optional Jammy Upgrade: A sprig of rosemary (lightly smacked for aroma!)
Preparation
Lets do this!
Sip your hydration, Chef, then grab a big jug, festive drinks deserve festive vessels.
Add the grape juice, lemon juice, honey (if using), and give it a quick stir.
Top it up with sparkling water and lots of ice, Christmas is hot in SA!
Throw in the mint and pomegranate seeds.
Add that rosemary sprig for the full December magic.
Pour into glasses and raise a toast to the people who make your season feel like home.
Chef's Tip
Crush a few pomegranate seeds at the bottom of the jug for a deeper blush of colour, it looks like a sunset in a glass.
